Several years ago we created a Google Map of places in New Jersey related to Thomas Edison, who spent most of his career working in the state. This map is accessible under Resources on the Edison Papers website. We need a student to update that map to ensure its historical accuracy and to add historic photographs and links for key documents related to each site. After the existing map has been updated the student would examine other mapping tools and apps to see if they might better serve the needs of the Edison Papers for future mapping projects. Finally, the student will help us develop a plan for other Edison-related mapping projects.
